Attitude - Campion Victoria 797
'Attitude' is a Campion Victoria 797. Built in Canada she is 26 feet (8 metres) long and powered by a 230hp 5 Litre Mercruiser with a Bravo 2 Sterndrive Leg.
Attitude has a displacement of 2.5 tonnes and is capable of 26 knots at full strap. Purchased originally in a mechanically neglected condition, the Davidsons have owned her for 5 years but tend to run her more leisurely, keeping pace with the displacement boats in the group. The transverse double bed under the bridgedeck is utilised for sleeping whilst the second 'v' berth is left set up as a dinette area. Attitude has a full galley with fridge and full bathroom with electric loo and heat exchange hot water.
The idea behind the 'sportcruiser' concept for us was the sleek design slips easily? under the dreaded low Wonnie roadbridge, allowing easy access in and out of the river to our home, whilst having a boat big enough to spend a weekend on. The sterndrive allows us to cross the shallow parts of our beautiful river with the press of a switch.
